The Louvre
Located near the hotel, the Louvre Museum is one of the largest and most famous museums in the world and a definite must-visit during your stay in Paris. The Louvre's permanent collections are grouped into eight departments: Egyptian Antiquities, Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities, Islamic Art, Painting, Sculptures, Decorative Arts and Prints and Drawings.
Once a series of royal palaces, the Louvre boasts over 40 000 works of art displayed over 210 000 m² including Venus de Milo, the Coronation of Napoleon, the Mona Lisa as well as a host of works of art, sculptures, paintings and graphic art from 1848 to the modern day.
